Good Fortune, Rebirth
The hare is considered an intermediary between mortals and deities, a messenger of the gods, but also a trickster with powers to effect transformation and control destiny. Its erratic movements fortell future events and as a lunar animal, it represents rebirth, immortality, good fortune and prosperity. The hare is the totem animal of numerous mood goddesses, and notably Oestre (the Anglo-Saxon goddes of spring) whose name is the source of the word Easter.
The Porcelain Pendant measures approximately 1 inch in diameter and comes with a 32 inch braided rayon cord. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight and finished to a beautiful satin touch, and individually packaged in a velvet-like box with a card describing the symbolism of the design.
